Different exercises to improve eyesight have been defined. Vision exercises are aimed at ensuring the adaptability of the human physique in order to retain superior vision for as long as possible.
Though they may not lead to avoidance of correction glasses and contact lenses completely, but these can improve* the eyesight to a great degree.
One of the important vision exercises is Focusing. In this exercise, the target is to improve the ocular capabilities and is more precisely termed as ‘near and far focusing’. In this exercise, one is supposed to alternate his vision rapidly between an object that is close at hand and the other one that is 20 to 30 feet away. This can help in reducing the stress on the eyes.
The other important vision exercise is zooming. In order to perform this exercise, one has to sit on a chair and hold his thumb up to the nose focusing on it.
While maintaining the focus, one has to now move the arm slowly out to its full length and then one should again bring it back the nose again. This will help in training of eh eyes to keep its focus on one particular object through the different depths.
